Nueva Zelanda | 1999 | Power Black MetalBanda Neozelandesa que aún contando con estos dos guitarristas de lujo (Sam Totman y Herman Li) se disolvió con más pena que gloria, aunque sacaron tres discos y se trasladaron a Londres en un intento por darse a conocer.
Esta banda se desintegro a finales de 1999 poco después de lanzar su último disco, The fire and the wind en cuya portada original, que fue censurada, salia uno de los miembros del grupo bebiendo alcohol mientras mantenia relaciones sexuales aunque acabó saliendo al mercado con dicha portada.
Todos los miembros de la banda excepto el cantante (Dawson) formaron Dragonheart, que despues cambiaria su nombre a Dragonforce.
Más tarde, Dawson colaboraría con Dragonforce en una canción de su tercer disco, Inhuman Rampage
Su género es una mezcla de Black y Power Metal.

Stefi and Karima thought up Cherry Lips while they were still in high school in Verona. They had no doubts about the kind of band they wanted: very young and strictly girls only but with a classic rock sound that would draw its inspiration from Ac/Dc, Aerosmith, The Who. All the songs would be in English, which wasn’t a problem since Stefania Parks (voice and guitar) is a mothertongue English speaker, daughter of the English novelist, Tim Parks. It wasn’t easy. After trying out various line-ups, Serena finally took over on drums while Elisa arrived from Trento to give the band a first class guitar soloist. With the professional expertise of Fabio Serra (Opal Arts Studio) the debut cd was ready at the beginning of 2008. Under the vintage rock lablel Andromeda Relix a limited vynl-look run was printed off for distribution at concerts with a series of ‘polaroids’ of the girls in place of the usual booklet. Since March 2008 the band has been playing all over Italy (including a prestigious appearance at the famous Thunder Road) and getting enthusiastic reviews in the specialized press and webmagazines. During the summer they won the IndieTime competition, which meant playing with The FutureHeads (July 3rd) on their only tour appearance in Italy. They were also one of the seven groups selected for Cornetto Algida’s Free Music Audition competition. That gave them the chance to open at Elisa’s concert at the Derby Theatre, Milan (July 2nd). At the same time the band produced their first videoclip, “Mean, hot and nasty” which was immediately taken up by Rock TV, MusicBox, TeleNordEst, GetRocked, UnoTv, SulPalcoTv and TelevisioNet, and will soon be played on Yahoo! Music’s prestigious on-demand international channel...

Astarte es un Black Metal pagano desde Grecia, país de los polémicos Rotting Christ. Con 10 años de trayectoria, esta es una superbanda del Black Metal europeo que liderada en principio por 3 bellas mujeres, ha pasado por cambios sucesivos hasta llegar a la actual formación compuesta por: Tristessa (voz y bajo), Derketa (Sintetizadores), Hybris (responsable de las líricas), Ice (batería) y Lycon (guitarra). Sonidos extremos, desenfrenados y basamento en el ocultismo es lo que destaca a esta banda que puede hacerle la pelea a cualquier grupo escandinavo del mismo estílo, pero que además posee el carisma y la belleza de su lider Tristessa, versión griega de la insuperable Angela Gossow de Arch Enemy, otra chica con aspecto angelical pero con actitud y voz de demonio…

ROCKBITCH: sexo explícito no palco com um som industrial lesbo-core-metal feminista. Elas começaram como uma comunidade pós-feminista, lésbica ou bissexual para promover a liberdade e desenvolver a sexualidade pagã. Estes conceitos já não são fáceis de serem alcançados praticamente, mas para tornar tudo isso mais louco ainda, elas resolveram fundar uma banda já que muitas delas eram instrumentistas. Pronto. Este é o conceito da formação do Rockbitch, uma banda que faz um som pesado, rock metal e industrial, tentando e conseguindo ampliar de longe o ideal das polonesas da banda Cynthia Witthoft. Seus shows são um espetáculo à parte já que procuram não impor limites entre palco e platéia, se apresentam com os seios à mostra, todas são adeptas do amor livre, total e protagonizam cenas de sexo explícito entre elas ou com seu público. Se você quiser pensar que é só putaria ou sensacionalismo, está menosprezando a capacidade intelectual das garotas. O Rockbitch possui uma agenda política e social onde o comportamento sexual extremista é simplesmente uma manifestação verdadeira desse sistema de opinião. O grupo acredita na liberação sexual e vive numa comunidade maternal e pagã, numa utopia feminista.Se você pensar também que então todos estes conceitos, idéias e experimentações transformam o Rockbitch numa banda conceitual sem muita música, prepare-se para, mais uma vez, errar totalmente. Todas as garotas são muito talentosas, as músicas são bem escritas, executadas e arranjadas. Os destaques do CD são: “Snafu”, faixa que abre o CD e todos shows da banda, é uma canção de energização feminina e, em sua letra, ridiculariza o comportamento masculino que quer controlar a mulher e sua sexualidade; “The Church” onde as meninas se vingam de todo efeito negativo que a igreja cristã teve na sexualidade da mulher ocidental em um rock totalmente metal e “Baby”, uma poderosa canção de amor que toca homens e mulheres onde a vocalista Julie lembra Janis Joplin.“Nympho” é totalmente heavy-metal e o Rockbitch proclama: “Não somos ninfomaníacas. Somos muito mais que isso!”. Em “Tell Me”, elas incorporam as mitológicas Harpias que eram divindades aladas, carniceiras e de seios nus. É a vingança do Rockbitch à supressão da sexualidade feminina e elas berram “fuck you we're going to fuck anyway”. É uma canção lenta e poderosa. O CD termina com “Diva”, uma canção com um arranjo de orquestra maravilhoso que elas ironizam dizendo poder estar num CD de K.D. Lang e descreve uma garota contando a seu pai que é lésbica. Com esta canção, elas nos deixam num lugar morno, seguro e tesudo.As 13 faixas de “Motor Driven Bimbo”, embora sejam radicais em suas letras e em seu som pesado, são totalmente acessíveis e um contraponto interessante às canções mornas e romanticamente piegas que cercam a comunidade lésbica.Atitude e polêmica: uma virada de mesa para começarmos a misturar ingredientes mais picantes a nossa receita."Nós acreditamos na liberação através da liberdade sexual. Nós vivemos em uma sociedade onde Hollywood pode mostrar imagens de violência, mas os atos sexuais explícitos são censurados ou proibidos. Emperor es una banda de black metal noruego fundada en 1991, disuelta en 2001 y reformada en 2005. Actualmente formada por Samoth, Ihsahn y Trym. Si bien Emperor no puede ser considerado dentro del black metal sinfónico o melódico, es uno de los impulsadores de dichos subgéneros.
Sus letras hablan sobre satanismo en un principio, posteriormente sobre ideas vikingas y paganas, centrándose en la oscuridad, la fuerza del ser humano, temas de ocultismo, leyendas/folklore noruego y algunos temas más. El grupo estuvo relacionado con la escena underground del black metal noruego de principios de los noventa, y en el llamado Inner circle noruego.
